Located in the historic neighborhood of T Nagar, this residence was designed to address the unique challenge of its proximity to the railway station and the resulting noise disturbance. The façade features a striking terracotta swirl element that serves as a natural sound neutralizer, complemented by metal louvers that establish a rhythmic pattern while functioning as an additional sound barrier, allowing both air and light to filter through. A tea spot set behind the terracotta screen, surrounded by planter boxes, creates a green buffer zone at the front. Inside, a double-height courtyard maximizes natural ventilation and light, ensuring a calm, airy interior despite the bustling surroundings.
