Located on a bustling shopping street in Chennai, this corner commercial building is designed to stand out amid the urban chaos—transforming retail architecture into a visual landmark through the use of parametric design and dynamic lighting. The building’s facade features a series of parametric cuts and perforations, creating a sculptural skin that wraps around the corner like a folded urban curtain. These calculated incisions not only add a distinct rhythm and depth to the exterior but also modulate daylight and offer curated glimpses into the retail interiors. At night, the structure comes alive through integrated lighting that traces the parametric geometry, turning the building into a glowing beacon. This illuminated identity draws attention, sets the brand apart, and enhances the overall street experience for both passersby and shoppers. The ground floor is kept visually porous and highly accessible, encouraging footfall and interaction, while the upper levels offer flexible commercial spaces with strong visibility. The architecture is bold, modern, and highly experiential—designed not just to house commerce, but to elevate it. This project reimagines the commercial corner block as a piece of urban sculpture, using form, light, and movement to break monotony and capture attention in one of Chennai’s busiest retail corridors.
